Car history: |
1972, 4 speed corvette t- top with 86,246 miles non matching number LT1 engine. This car has been in storage on wheel dollys, untitle & not driven since 1986. It has power brakes and power steering. The engine has a ce stamped on block(counter exchange) and casting #3970010. More than likley it was replaced under factory warranty. The cylinder heads are casting #3927186 which are 1970 high compression lt1 heads, and a 1970 gm snowflake aluminum intake and a 650 holley dubble pumper manuel seconderie carb. That was just rebuilt, it has a 1970 LT1 solid lift cam and a muncie m22 close ratio rock crusher 4 speed trans. The person who had this car was trying to make a LT1 corvette (clone). It has had all brake lines, calipers, and master cylinder replaced and has new exhaust. The clutch and trans feels fine and rear end makes no abnormal noises. It has new seat covers and carpet, the interior is near flawless, it has the factory am fm radio and it works. All the gauges work and when car is running they all seem to work properly, good oil pressure and no overheating. A new heater core was installed when interior was replaced. The dash and door panels are in excelent shape. The paint is driver quality with typical blemishes around head lamps. The car is mille miglia red with black interior, the interior is correct but exterior should be pewter silver which is one of the rarest colors(1 of 1372). The head lamps go up very slow and wiper door does not work at all, probably needs vac lines replaced. 86,000 miles. May 4, 2008. |
